August Yard of the Month Winner

This month’s honor of Yard of the Month goes to Margie Fry at 706 Highland Ave. As a focal welcoming point into the neighborhood at 9th and Kossuth streets, Margie has done a stunning job of keeping the large corner lot well groomed with pops of annual and perennial colors. The old beach tree has been well nurtured with its hosta garden around the base (and a bit of neighbor history carved into its trunk!). Her highly visible yard at 706 Highland Avenue sets the tone for pleasing outdoor aesthetics in our historic neighborhood- thank you!
